Dean DeNielsen, born and bred in Cape Town, South Africa, started his DJ career at the tender age of 15, in the ‘glory days’ of Studio 47, The Gallery & 96 Degrees.

Over the 11 years he has lived between London and Cape Town spreading his sound and racking up some top notch gigs and supporting some top artists like Wally Lopez, Markus Schultz, Marco V, Judge Jules, Timo Garcia, Marcel Woods, Kutski, Cosmic Gate, Dean Fuel, Scotts Smalls and Leyton Lee to name but a few, as well as touring Ibiza with Bootleg Social on the Ibizian Heat Tour in the summer of ‘08

Living between two countries has helped him develop his sound and style. A unique style and not one that he likes to put a particular genre to, you could call it progressive melodic tech house.

Dean, a keen follower and supporter of technology, performing mainly using tracktor pro, with a X1 Controller, allowing him to chop and change, sampling loops and vocals, but can still be seen from time to time, burning out a pair of CDJs.

Dean’s passion for music, his approachability and his ongoing involvement in the industry, both in the UK and still …back home is South Africa, stand him in good stead for things to come, as it is quite clear that he has a prominent future in the music performance and production industry.
